Shock Top


Shock Top is a traditional Belgian-Style wheat ale first introduced in 2006 as a seasonal brew under the name Spring Heat Spiced Wheat. After winning a gold medal in 2006 and bronze medal in 2007 in the Belgian White category at the North American Beer Awards, Anheuser-Busch decided that it was only right to bring it to the people year-round. Since calling it Spring Heat didn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense in the middle of November (or July, for that matter), the company changed the name to Shock Top.

At Shock Top Brewing Company they shake up traditional tastes with Shock Top Belgian White, a spiced Belgian-style wheat ale (“wit”) brewed with real orange, lemon and lime peels. Then pair it with coriander spice to produce a crisp and distinctive taste with a satisfying flavor.

Shock Top Lemon Shandy is a unique interpretation of the classic Shandy. Brewed with two row and six row malted barley and five different types of hops, this Belgian-Style Wheat Ale is then combined with citrus peels, coriander, natural lemonade flavor and a hint of sugar for a subtle sweetness. The end result is an incredibly refreshing, crisp and smooth beer that hits the spot as the thermometer heats up.
