Stella Artois was first brewed as a Christmas beer in Leuven. It was named Stella, from the star of Christmas, and Artois after Sebastian Artois, founder of the brewery. It was an instant sensation, and became so popular that it stayed in demand throughout history, and for decades to come. It’s brewed to perfection using the original Stella Artois yeast and the celebrated Saaz hops. It’s the optimum premium lager, with its full flavour and clean crisp taste.  Stella Artois is renowned as a quality beer conditioned for an average of 6 – 11 days longer than most other beers.

leffe blondeLeffe Blonde

ABV: 6.6%

Leffe beers are  authentic Belgian abbey beers, brewed according to the traditional recipe of the Abbey of Leffe which was founded in 1152. The Norbertine fathers were excited to discover on the site a mineral spring, limpid and pure. In 1240, this water became the basis for Leffe. Leffe Blonde is a dry, fruity, lightly spiced Belgian Abbey Ale, quite full and creamy; a perfect balance of strength and subtlety.

The bitterness is delicate, extending over the whole palette and lingering as a subtle aftertaste. Leffe should be served slightly warmer than usual at 41°F to allow its distinct aromatic characteristics to escape and should always be served in its proprietary Chalice glass. Leffe is brewed to the same recipe as it was in 1240.
